1.The People’s Republic of China has received a loan from the ordinary fund resources of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the foreign currency cost of Integrated Renewable Biomass Energy Development Sector Project and intends to apply a grant from the Global Environment Facility (GEF) to eligible payments under this Contract for consulting services. The Shandong Agricultural Foreign Economic Cooperation Center (EA) has been designated as the Executing Agency for the Project.

2.The consulting services required are expected to include: (i) assist EA to design detailed Environmental Performance and Monitoring; (ii) conduct field survey and environmental monitoring; (iii) responsible for quality control and data recording; and (iv) responsible to control the quality of environmental monitoring reports both content and English. 3.The EA now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these consulting services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may join hand to enhance their qualifications.

4.A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the “Guidelines on the Use of Consultants by Asian Development Bank and its Borrowers”, and using CQS method under ADB financed loan projects.
