Position：Engineer
Position Description:
SIAIS informatics platform is looking for a support engineer to integrate experimental results with computational resources.
The engineer will:
1.Provide statistical and data analysis tool for interpreting the experimental results.
2.Build molecular models based on homology modelling, molecular dynamics or other computational techniques.
3.Organize and analyze large sets of data using bioinformatics techniques.
Occasionally, he/she is also required to provide technical support for hardware management and software installation for the Informatics platform.
Qualifications:
Characteristics for the ideal candidate are:
1.Degree in physics or chemistry or any related scientific fields (including mathematics or informatics).
2.Previous experience in large data analysis, bioinformatics or molecular modeling (experience in quantum chemistry computations is particularly welcome).
3.Familiarity with at least one of the following software packages: VMD, Gromacs, Amber, Gaussian
4.Good knowledge of C/C++ or other programming language. Knowledge of script languages for the Unix shell is particularly welcome.
5.Good communication skills in English
The ideal candidate has the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and to provide original contribution to in order to support the other investigators of the Institute.
